Introducing the Blue Jay Board.

The blue jay image comes from Charley Harper’s lithograph Birducopia.

All wood is sourced from a local lumber mill 45 miles outside of Cincinnati, and each piece is hand-crafted from start to finish at the Nielsen Moderne workshop in nearby Milford; although every board is hand-selected before production, keep in mind that hardwood is a natural product, so variations in color and grain may occur.

Nielsen Moderne treats each board with a blend of food-safe Walrus Cutting Board Oil and Walrus Wood Wax

to seal and protect it; we recommend treating your board with a food-safe mineral oil every four weeks or as needed.
